From WM2K onwards, everything became homogenized, allowing for every model type to be accessible by every type of costume. Up until Revenge, there were specific 'body part' models (various torsos, upper arms, forearms, hands, fingers, etc.) that were shared across all the wrestlers based on the costume in question. Regarding wrestler models, both VPW2 and WM2K have the same models in them. To be sure what you compiling works correctlyĬould you clarify what you mean by the 'codes' matched up from WM2K and VPW2? It's certainly true that certain blocks of code might be similar, and the assets are arranged in a similar way, but that's not really how it works. If anyone wants to hack N64 Wrestling roms you really gonna need an Everdrive and Original Hardware. But I hit a road black as I can't seem to test my own rom Hacks out. I then Tried to Text hack VPW1, I know its been done.
but when I compile the Rom to use I have to Test it on Retroid Pocket 2 via N64 Oid. īasically its a lot of work to do something Like Freems Project or the WCW Revenge one.Īlso for me it's insanely difficult to test a rom hack, as I'm using Project 64 and Mupen and Nemo to test on PC. but can't really port every texture from No mercy or WrestleMania 2000 as the codes seem incompatible. I understand how he was able to port Revenge and VPW1 textures over.
as well as others but I've already given up on trying to mod as its way too difficult. Also i've found that Cactus Jack was included in VPW2 code. So I have been learning to HACK n64 ROMS but in a way like Freem, at first I was pissed at how weak his textures were.
